Mendivia Wines first release is a loving tribute to their old wine bar in Southeast Portland, Oso Market, a stone's throw from New Deal Distillery. This rosé (or rosado, if you will follow us south of the Pyrenees for a moment) is made from a direct pressing of Tempranillo from Rock Steady Vineyard in Underwood, WA. Perched at 1,500-ft above the Columbia River in Washington’s Columbia Gorge AVA, this site gets just enough sun and warmth to ripen these Tempranillo grapes to a point brimming with bright fruit and an edgy acidity that is perfect for rosado production.
Colin & Holly Howard, the husband & wife team behind Mendivia Wines, founded the brand as a celebration of their favorite Spanish varietals from Oregon and Washington's emerging AVAs. Their wines are made exclusively from fruit grown in vineyards committed to organic and/or biodynamic farming. Fun fact: Colin was once the Head Distiller at House Spirits--now Westward Whiskey--and, back in the day, he helped Tom & the New Deal Crew dial in our rum fermentation processes.

We’re open daily from 12-6pm and would love to have you visit our shop for easy weeknight wine and beer to go, gifts and special occasion bottles, home bar and cocktail making supplies, exploratory spirit tasting and flights, weekend mini cocktails, chats, and high fives.
Easy Local Pickup is available 7 days a week. During normal business hours, local pickup orders are ready within one hour. Pull up in our loading zone on SE Salmon Street and we'll bring your order out to you.
